I didn't see any 4* hotels on tripadvisor has an indoor pool in this area. I am wondering whether it is Maritim Hotel München which has an indoor pool however it is outside the area circle...

Unfortunately this property has not yet been reported to the board, and while i too gave this a hard search, i was not able to find any hotels that matches the Indoor Pool amenity.

Just wondering whether the hotwire hidden hotel is inside the area on their map for sure... Whether any cases reported that the hotel fell off the circle even it's closeby?

Yes, it happens occasionally from time to time, but it is much more the exception than the rule (it also happens that sometimes an amenity will show that the hotel doesn't offer). In both instances HOTWIRE will typically offer to refund the stay or give you some form of compensation to entice you to keep the reservation once they are made aware of the error (although sometimes it can take a little effort to get them to listen and realize/understand the error)

So I didn't go with the mystery 4* hotel in the end (couldn't identify it and didn't want the risks). I went for the 3.5* hotel and it turned out to be Cortiina Hotel which was exactly what I predicted. It was more expensive than the hidden 4* hotel but I'm happy with it because It got good reviews on tripadvisor and the location is great. The final price is ~10% off from official site which is good as long as they don't assign a 'special' room to us at checking in.
