disfan168 Posted May 30, 2014 Author Report Posted May 30, 2014 No 4* Boston Airport hotel shown in Priceline.Express Deal for 7/4-7/5; Hot.wire show a 4* at $182. I tried to bid for a 4* up to $142, with no luck. Hilton's rate on its own website is $189, and Hyatt is sold out. Do you think there are any 4* hotels in Price.line's inventory at all? Thanks!
thereuare Posted May 31, 2014 Report Posted May 31, 2014 My guess for the 3* HOTWIRE property above would be the Wyndham Chelsea (but be sure to double check the amenities if you go for this offer as i've also seen a similarly priced 3* hotel with a different amenity set... i only see this one when searching for 2adults/2children) The other 3* i'm guessing is the Residence Inn Boston Logon Airport/Chelsea. As far as a 4* hotel in this zone, there is no way to know if PRICELINE has any inventory for these dates unless you're willing to bid up to the best price you're able to find for a 4* thru conventional booking channels, but if inventory is at tight as it appears to be (based upon your failed bids and the Hyatt being sold-out), whatever inventory they do have isn't likely discounted by very much since hotels have high occupancy and therefore don't need to discount too deeply (or at all). You could register for alerts at our new site RateDrop and you can be alerted anytime a 4* hotel in this zone for your dates drops to a certain price point (that you set)... you can also receive alerts for any 'named' hotel at the 4* level in this zone, as maybe the price drops low enough for you to book direct, or at the very least this would indicate a good time to try your bids once again. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
