Priceline Hotel: 4.5* New York City (Midtown West) Royalton Hotel

I started around $170 and worked my way up adding zones.  I also started with 4.5 stars.  Looks like a good place and wondering if $200 USD plus tax/fees is a good deal?

As far as I know, Royalton is listed as 4.5* in Midtown west.

I checked for your date after i booked mine for 7/2-7/6

 

it was showing at that point.

Id say wait as these rates go up and come down again.

 

This is what i do: book a backup hotel like Marriott or hilton which is decent rate and desired location and refundable and cancel it if i find good rate thru express deals.

 

Also cheaptickets has PACKUP which gives 25%, MOREMONEY code at Hotels.com gives 50 off each 300 (2 reservations same name for 2 days) etc...
