anonyme999 Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 Hey guys, Trying to book a room in NY on hotwire for 6 oct to 10 oct (4 nights) but not having any luck for less than $200. Is that usual? Is it always better to look further in advance or closer to the date? I've seen a few people get for less than $150 so just wondering if there are any tips anyone has. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Rates really do depend greatly on the date/s (and seasons), so what users may be getting now does not reflect what it may take for the Fall, which is traditionally one of the busiest periods of the year. There is no way to know if rates will come down between now and the trip but - at least traditionally - this has been a busy period. What would be your desired max budget per night for this stay and which zone/s have you bid on/would be acceptable? You can also use our service, ratedrop.com, to get alerts on price declines on Hot.wire listings, Price.line Express listings and regular rate listings. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
anonyme999 Posted May 26, 2014 Author Report Posted May 26, 2014 Hi, I am trying to book NY for $200 a night or less for 3-4* in mid october. Atm prices seem high on priceline and im not getting any successful bids. Would it be better to try closer to the date?? Anyone know?
AaronJB Posted May 26, 2014 Report Posted May 26, 2014 Please keep all posts for this stay within this thread - thanks. What is the max you have bid so far? As noted, this period is - at least traditionally - busy. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted May 26, 2014 Report Posted May 26, 2014 Also... Which zones, by PRICELINE name, have you already bid? Have you gone up to $200/nite for a 3* hotel in all of these zones so far? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
