Hotwire Hotel: Condo vs Hotel Seaworld area

I'm new here, so please excuse me if this is a silly question.  I've been using the sticky list and checking amenities to try to narrow down properties, but I'm getting confused when Hotwire differentiates a listing as a hotel or condo because the sticky list doesn't say anyting about condos.

For example, there's a property listed for $71 a night as 3.5 star Hot Rate Condo SeaWorld - I-drive South area.  The amenities are Free Parking
Free Internet
Resort
Studio
Daily Housekeeping
Air-Conditioning
Children's actvities
Fitness Center
Pool(s)

I thought I had it figured out (as Hilton Garden Inn-Seaworld), but I wouldn't consider that a condo, so now I have no idea.

If it mkaes any difference, the dates are July 6-9 and the tripadvisor score is 4.5.

Any help would be appreciated!  BTW, I tried BiddingHelper and just confused myself more!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

There are several properties at boards Hotwire Orlando List for the zone you're looking at that indicates condo, 4* Sheraton Vistana Villages, 4* Vista Cay, 3.5* Lake Eve resort etc. Look at them so you get a clue how a condo is listed compared to a hotel. A "hotel" never list amenities like Air-Conditioning, Daily Housekeeping, Laundry In Room etc... but a "condo" sometimes does mention these amenities.

I hope this answer your question?

Correct, Hilton Garden Inn is a hotel, not classified as a condo.

Are you looking for a condo or a hotel for your upcoming stay? How big is your party?

Let us know and we'll go from there.

If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages (which will also remove that red box from the top of the page)

Just to add some information above, HOTWIRE used to list 'Condo' as an amenity, so at that time we did too, but more recently they have removed this designation from the amenity list and added this to the zone name (they have also done the same with 'Boutique' in some areas. So if a 'condo' property is newly added to the board, it may not list 'Condo' in the amenity set, but you can usually tell it's a condo type of property based upon the amenities (as per yellowdog's comments above)

As far as the 3.5* property above, I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links.

If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Using this method this is the full list i'm seeing when searching for your dates:

Free Parking

Free Internet

Resort

Studio

Daily Housekeeping

A/C

Childrens Activities

Fitness

Pool

Restaurant

Business

Front Desk

24hr Front Desk

Laundry

Hi-Speed Internet

Tennis

Kitchenette

... if this is what you're seeing, my best guess for this property would be the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Seaworld.

That would be my best guess as it may have been downgraded since last reported to the board (see the comments at the top of the Hotwire Hotel List. Should it be a different property, i don't think you can go too wrong given the the 4.5/5.0 TA rating.

Now it's saying the last person to book this property got Bluegreen Vacations Lake Eve.  Is that a good indicator of what it is?  Is that the same as Lake Eve Resort?

The "last person got" is the last hotel someone got at that star rating in that zone in general. It is not necessarily an indicator of the underlying hotel.

So when I change the guest count to two adults one child (just to experiment, there are only two adults in the party) this property is not listed, so I'm thinking since the Hilton Grand Vacations offers studios that might make it more likely.  I know I'm an overthinker, but I have awhile till my trip and want to look at all my options.  Also, didn't want you to think I had made my decision and hadn't updated :)

I wouldn't use this conclusion to ID a property. There could be several other reasons.

Thank you for keeping us updated with what you decide. Please let us know if you have any questions.
