Hotwire Hotel: Berlin Help please!

Hello,

 

For my budget I have narrowed down to the three following hotels in Berlin June 25-28 on Hotwire which say they have pools, can anyone have a guess?

 

3.5*, $95 per night

Berlin Wall - Spree Riverbank - Ostbahnhof

FULL AMENITIES: Free Parking, Free Internet, Boutique Hotel, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Internet access, Spa Services

 

4*, $136 per night

Brandenburg Gate - Parliament (Appears as "Condo" on full Hotwire site)

FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access

 

5*, $101 per night

Kurfuerstendamm - Savignyplatz

FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Spa Services

--> a guess would be the Adina ApartmentHotel Berlin HBF

 

5*, $101 per night

Kurfuerstendamm - Savignyplatz

--> Steigenberger Hotel Berlin would be my best guess for this one (with a distant secondary guess of the Louisas Place)

The Almodovar does not appear to have a pool that is actually part of the property... Berlin's Badeschiff (outdoor pool on the Spree) is fairly close but surely this couldn't class as a hotel amenity?

 

I wasn't sure myself as barring 1 large hostel, there are next to no hotels in central Berlin under 4* with a pool. :-(

I'm no longer seeing this 3.5* HOTWIRE property when searching for your dates... are you still see this on your own HOTWIRE search?

Sorry, thought when i researched this morning i saw a Pool mentioned for this property, but can't find the same at the moment... unfortunately i don't have any additional insight for this one.

I assume Hotwire would never list an amenity the hotel doesn't have?

 

If not, something must be amiss, I don't see any hotels there with a pool (any star).

The location would be fine but would not be happy if I booked it on that basis and there wasn't one there.

Mistakes happen, so from time to time we do see a hotel that is won and doesn't have all the amenities that were shown (or is not in the zone indicated). This is much more the exception then the rule, but when it has occurred, HOTWIRE has been good about refunding the purchase (or offering some other form of compensation)

You could see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay. (and if there is an issue with the hotel received not having all the amenities or not located in the zone, you'll have less of a dollar amount at risk)
