I was targeting the Willard, as there are only two 5* hotels in DC White House - Downtown, and I was pretty sure it wasn't the St. Regis, as there was a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for $159 and the St.Regis was retailing for $340, while the Willard was retailing for $209.  I would have been very happy with $159, but managed to save a few dollars more.

 

Don't remember which combo of areas I used exactly, as there are 17 in the DC area, but only two of them have 5* hotels, so you can pretty much bid all day long to get what you want.
