Hotels on priceline inventory query

Hello all

 

I've tried to search to find an answer to this question on the forum, but i apologise in advance if I'm overlooking some glaringly obvious info.

 

To explain; I will be travelling to Tbilisi, Georgia in September and would like to try the NYOP. Having searched on priceline for the dates i require, it has come up with three hotels. I have also searched for other dates, and again it is these three hotels that come up. I assume from this, that these are the only hotels in Tbilisi that priceline sells rooms for?

 

Does this, therefore, mean that i would effectively only be bidding on these three hotels? The reason i ask, is that there appears to be a discrepancy between the star levels of the hotels for sale on the site (one of these is 5 star and two are 3 star) and the star level options offered when bidding (2 star moderate, 2 1/2 star moderate plus and 3 star up scale are offered).

 

I hope this makes sense and someone is able to offer some advice. Apologies once again if i have missed this info elsewhere.

The 'bidding' (name your own price), PRICELINE EXPRESS, and 'retail' sides of PRICELINE all use a different universe of hotels, so you can't use one side of their service to determine what you will get when using a different side of their service (as evidenced by the fact that you're seeing 5* hotels offered on the 'retail' side yet there is no 5* option available when bidding)
