Looking to spend no more than $150/nt. This would be my first time using the priceline bidding application so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

At current rates your $150 budget may be a little tough, but we can give it a try. HOWEVER, before bidding, note that in the CPS zone is the Hudson Hotel which has notoriously small rooms... would this be an acceptable outcome for this trip? Also, given that your budget may fall a little short, are any other zones (such as MSG and/or ESB) acceptable as well? claustralia Posted May 12, 2014 Author Report Posted May 12, 2014 I used this same basic strategy earlier tonight and was unable to get to get a room. I went up to $170 as well. What would be your remedy for the CPS zone while avoiding the hudson?
thereuare Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 There is currently a 4* hotel in the CPS zone on PRICELINE EXPRESS for $186/nite with Business and Fitness amenities listed. This property is also showing a minimum 7/10 user review rating from previous PRICELINE guests, which should enable you to safely avoid the Hudson Hotel as that property currently has a 6.6/10 user review rating on PRICELINE. My best guess for this property would be the Park Central, but i also just noticed that this PRICELINE EXPRESS offer charges a $20/nite resort fee, so the net price will actually be a little more than i had previously thought... not sure if you want to go for this PRICELINE EXPRESS offer, bid higher on PRICELINE, lower your star rating, or wait it out and hope for lower prices in the weeks ahead.
