BiggPapa22 Posted May 9, 2014 Report Posted May 9, 2014 I'm looking to rent any size vehicle from DEN to Santa Fe (any where drop off) from July 3 - 11. Can't find anything less than $1200. What's going on? I could purchase a car for that price.
thereuare Posted May 9, 2014 Report Posted May 9, 2014 I'm assuming it has to do with the fact that this is a one-way rental which typically come with hefty surcharges, as the rental company then needs to figure out a way to get the vehicle back to Denver (or wait for another one-way renter to need to go from Santa Fe to someplace near Denver) As well, you're traveling over a holiday dates which depending upon location, can cause increased rental rates. What size vehicle do you need? Using our Car Rental Rate Checker i'm seeing economy vehicles at $996 for the rental period and going up $1-3 per day from there for higher car classes.
