solara321
I've read the list of hotel & it shows 3 hotels are 4 Star in the Fisherman's Wharf area. Is this true & which hotel am I more likely to get. Also opinion on where to start bidding. It's for 2 nights July 15 & 16, 2014. Thanks. Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :) As noted in the message at the top of the Priceline Hotel List, the list provides the hotels that have been reported to the board. New hotels or star rating changes can happen at any time. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay and which zone/s (only Fisherman's Wharf?) would be acceptable? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
solara321
I'd prefer only the Fishermans Wharf area. I'd be willing to spend $150 per night. Where should I start bidding at. Will I be able to get one of the 4 star hotels. Someone told me they have one of the 4 star hotels in September for $85. Link to comment
thereuare
Rates are date specific so what somebody won for in September may be different then what is required for your dates. Using our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com, it looks like 4* hotels for your dates start at $299 which leads me to believe that a winning bid of $150 or less it not very likely at this time. If you want to give it a try anyway you can do so as follows: When bidding 4* in San Francisco you have SIX re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. Select 4* Fisherman's Wharf... Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $150 Any questions feel free to ask. If the above is rejected, what is your next move: 1) wait it out and hope for lower prices in the weeks ahead 2) lower your star rating for the FW zone 3) increase your budget for a 4* hotel in this zone 4) keep your star rating at 4* and include other zones Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
