I am looking to book for January 24, 2015.

does anyone know what hotels are 3.5 stars in downtown Miami?

I am pretty specific and need to be either at the Marriott Biscayne bay or the Hilton Miami Downtown so im curious what I could end up with if I bid for 3.5 stars!

Thanks!

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

You can find the list of hotels reported to the board (please read the message at the top of the list) here: Priceline Hotel List Florida.

There is also the possibility that you can be upgraded to 4* in the zone.

What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Thanks!

Dont really have a "budget", just dont want to spend $350 for a one night stay!

here's the situation:

I am going to Orlando for 3 days with family, then driving down to Miami on Saturday to run the Miami marathon on Sunday.  We have to be back to Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday afternoon to board a cruise ship, hence the need for a hotel north of the marathon route (to help us get out of Miami ASAP).  Marriott Biscayne Bay or the Hilton Downtown Miami seem like they would work best.

I am probably better off just paying the hotels current rate to ensure quick exit from the city.

Thanks

Few suggestions...

HOTWIRE has a 'Midtown' zone just north of their 'Downtown' zone which may get you a little further from the start of the Marathon but may work better for your easy exist after the race.

Search maps.hotel for an address near an acceptable hotel and search within a 1mile or 3mile radius of that address to see what options are available at an acceptable location. The interface makes it easy to see how much more/less it would cost to go up/down in star rating or to start further/closer from your ideal location.

If you need a specific hotel, book a refundable back-up, then use our new site RateDrop under the 'Hotels by Name' tab (where there is also a map view layout option) and sign-up for alerts for any of the hotels which would be an acceptable location, choosing rates that would make each a better option then your back-up hotel... this way if rates do drop, you'll be alerted to it and be able to improve upon your back-up reservation.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
