Hotwire Hotel: Help!Is this the Wyndham New Yorker?

Hello!

So I just made a search on Hotwire for a 4 star hotel in the Madison Square Garden/Hell's Kitchen area, for 7 nights, and got this:

Free Internet

Smoke-free rooms

Fitness Center

Restaurant

Golf Nearby

Business Center

Accessible for the deaf

Accessible for the blindg

150 dollars - regular price 260 dollars

70% recommendations

From what I read here on betterbiding NY hotels list, it seems like the New Yorker, would I be correct? Because if it is it would be awsome as I stayed there before and I really wanted to stay there again. I have in fact a back-up reservation for the New Yorker but only for 5 nights and it's 1600 dollars, so this would be awsome if it was the New Yorker. However, the regular price seems rather cheap for the New Yorker, and on tripadvisor the New Yorker has 80% recommendation :/ HELP!?

If you click on the listing and then click on the detail page then click on "Book Now", then click on "see all" in the amenities box on the next page, do you see:

Free Internet,Smoke Free Rooms,Fitness Center,Restaurant(s),Business Center,Internet access,Golf Nearby,Accessible for the blind,Accessible for the deaf,Accessible path of travel,In-room accessibility,Accessible bathroom,Roll-in shower

If so, my guess would be the Wyndham New Yorker.

Thank you!

I think so too, because of all the amenities matching and also because there is no other with golf except the new yorker. Also the regular price presented on the hotwire is 260 and the hidding offer price has 260 scratched off,so that's another reason to think it is in fact the new yorker.

I also wanted to ask,as this is the first time I'm using HOTWIRE,is it really trustable? I'll have no problems with my reservation when i get to the hotel? Thank you so much for all the help

HOTWIRE has been in business for well over 10 years and is reputable. There are random issues that can come up from time to time with any travel provider (even when booking direct with the hotel)... but generally speaking you shouldn't encounter any issues with your reservation.

Thank you very much, that is so good to hear! How about how further ahead should I make my reservation? 'cause I'm only going to NY on October, so is it too soon to book? I mean, if I wait is there any chance prices will get even lower? Sorry for all the questions but it's the first time I'm using Hot.wire. Thanks for all the help!

If it's believed to be the hotel you want, and you're happy with the price, you should book now.

Nobody can say if rates will come down between now and your trip, or move even higher, but perhaps more important is that this hotel could disappear entirely and be replaced with something that may not want as much.

This is typically a busy time of year in NYC, and should this property pull inventory from HOTWIRE for even just one nite of your stay, this hotel may no longer be offered.

I have another small doubt. Are all the taxes included in the final price Hot.wire shows? I mean, the 14.75% NY sleeping tax and the 3.50 per night municipal tax, are they included?

If you click on a listing then click "book now", the final total w/taxes and fees is shown on that page.

Thank you, I thought so too, but I wasn't sure :) Good to know :)

Not sure if I'll book now, as it's non-refundable and the trip is only on October, and if for some unpredictable reason I can't go (which I'm not expecting to happen but one never knows ), then I loose all that money, so I'll check it closer to the dates, hopefully I'll find the New Yorker anyway :)

Thank you for keeping us updated. I will note that late September through around mid-December is often very expensive. I'd keep an eye on rates and you can monitor them using Betterbidding's new site, Ratedrop.com

Yes absolutely! I will use it, thank you so much! I'll come here when I make my purchase to confirm which hotel is it.

Thanks again so much! You are very helpful!
