Hi All,

Wondering if I could get a bit of assistance. My wife and I were able to score a babysitter at the last minute(thank you to my inlaws...first time I have said that)

My wife and I booked vegas from May 6 to the 9th and really want to go all out, problem is that we want to say in a 5 star north end of the strip but due to a number of conventions at that time, cannot score anything under $300 a night. We really expected priceline to help us out with a deal but have tried up to 285 a night and still no dice.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Additionally if I hit 4.5 stars for the north end of the strip which hotels would I be looking at, had heart set on venetian to stay at for this trip

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Sorry to say that we don't have any reports of a 4.5* in the North zone, and I have never seen one. The 4.5* is a bidding option. It don't mean that you'll get a 4.5* or that PRICELINE has inventory for that rating. In this case is my guess that if you bid 4.5* PRICELINE will bump you to a 5*.

Would you be OK with Palazzo? PRICELINE EXPRESS has a 5* listed in the North zone $261/night that looks like Palazzo.

If you feel that Palazzo is nothing for you, what is your future game plan for this stay?

Let us know your thoughts and we'll go from there.

If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages.

Although you don't have that much time between now and your stay, you could use our new site RateDrop.com (just went 'live' yesterday)...

Under NAMED HOTELS sign up for an alert if the Venetian falls below $xx (whatever price you're willing to pay for that hotel)

You could also sign-up for alerts with HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS for 5* hotels in the Strip North zone (maybe the Venetian does appear over the next few days)... as well as alerts for 5* hotels in the Strip South zone (using a different pricepoint, assuming that should a 5* hotel appear in the Strip South zone under $xx (whatever number you decide) it would be worthwhile to take that deal vs. paying full price to staying in the Strip North zone)

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help.

Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
