AaronJB Posted April 28, 2014 Report Posted April 28, 2014 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Please provide the date/s of travel and we would be happy to take a look and try to ID the listing. Also, it depends on which way you're driving in, but I also recommend the North Suburbs, which have easy access to a couple of different train lines (depending on where the area exactly), as well as a few great attractions, including the Ravinia Music Festival and Chicago Botanic Gardens. Mmtraveler Posted April 28, 2014 Author Report Posted April 28, 2014 We are driving in to Chicago area from North and looking for 2 nts 5/2 and 5/3. Would really prefer breakfast in the hotel.
thereuare Posted April 28, 2014 Report Posted April 28, 2014 I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Using this tool this is the amenity set i'm seeing for the 3* hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: Free Parking Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Indoor Pool Fitness Pool Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Golf Tennis If this is what you're seeing, the Quality Inn Chicago Schaumburg would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. AaronJB Posted April 29, 2014 Report Posted April 29, 2014 Congrats on your success. :) I think you absolutely scored a terrific deal with this Hyatt property, which was renovated last year. It's a couple of minutes drive East to the nearest Metra station, which is next to a Home Depot in a mall. The Chicago Botanic Garden is about 5 minutes East. That does have a parking fee, but no admission fee. A small family-friendly sight in the North burbs (http://www.glenviewparks.org/facilities-parks/wagner-farm/). It depends on age in terms of appeal, but there's also the Kohl's Children's Museum (http://www.kohlchildrensmuseum.org/). This property does have larger rooms and most do have refrigerators. It doesn't offer breakfast, but there is a Panera nearby on Waukegan, and Rhapsody Cafe in nearby Deerfield does serve breakfast (http://www.yelp.com/biz/rhapsody-cafe-deerfield). To the South, Georgie V's is very popular for breakfast (http://www.yelp.com/biz/georgie-vs-pancake-house-northbrook). There are some great restaurants not that far away - let me know likes/dislikes if you would like recommendations. Further away to the NE and South, there's locations of highly popular local institution Walker Brothers. There's also a Jewel Grocery in Deerbrook Mall at the corner of Waukegan and Lake Cook - you could also get things to take back to the hotel to keep in the room refrigerator. There's also a very nice Whole Foods to the North in Deerfield. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
