Chris26WI Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Are you sure you got this as a 5 star? Just verifying as it's still listed as a 4 star here in the list.
HB-IWC Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 The 5* bidding level has been added for Brussels about 2 months ago. So far, I thought that the Royal Windsor Hotel would be ranked that high, but it seems that also Le Meridien has been upgraded. Great location, right in front of the main Brussels Central train station, and as such smack in the city center. I find the $100 a bit on the high side, though. I just stayed at Le Meridien though an Expedia flight + hotel booking, and the price came to about $85 a night only.

I just stayed at Le Meridien though an Expedia flight + hotel booking, and the price came to about $85 a night only.I won this same hotel in late September (I posted my winning bid on this board). The 5* bidding option for Brussels was added while I was in a 72 hour lockout. After the lockout I won Le Meridien on a 4* bid. So, just a caution to anyone reading this topic and hoping that Le Meridien is the only 5* in Brussels; based on the fact that I won it as a 4* when 5* bidding was already available, it is my belief that there is (or at least was) another 5* possibility in Brussels.
