Question on HW/PL Hotel Bidding

Can I make a bid for a hotel using my credit card under my name, but I won't be present at the time of check-in? In fact I won't be there at all. It's for my brother.

No but you can use your CC and book it in your bros name.

Both Priceline and Hotwire asked for two separate pieces of information:

1) Credit card information (account holder name, number, etc)

2) Room information (guest's name for who the room is for)

You simply have to make sure that whoever's name you use for the room will be there at check-in.
