ecg129
Hello all, I'm fairly new to priceline and hotwire and have heard epic stories of people scoring major deals mere days before a big event in town/city. I will be traveling to AtlanticCity on memorial day weekend and am curious if in general people have found bidding weeks ahead or closer to the actual date to be more beneficial. Thanks again,Emily Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. It depends on the holiday and it even really depends on the exact date/s of travel. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay/desired star rating? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
ecg129
Trying to stay 4/5 star for less than $150. Ever do-able on a holiday weekend in an area like Atlantic City? My fear is - so much depends on weather... Thanks,Emily Link to comment
AaronJB
Based on the rate/s that I'm seeing (although that may vary depending your exact date/s of travel - are you looking for Fri-Sun, Sat-Mon?), unfortunately, I think a 4* is going to take more towards the $175-200 range, although it's worth trying lower. There is no way to know if rates will come down closer to your stay; they very possibly may not, especially if traffic comes in above expectations. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
