Only two Four-Star hotels in the area of Tampa - Airport West, Grand Hyatt and Westin Tampa Bay. Westin was the preferred pick and was having a promotion showing lower rates for a 5-year anniversary.

Amenities included in Priceline were: Indoor or Outdoor pool, pet friendly, fitness center, business center, and 'Guest Review score of 8.0 or higher'.

Standard rates were going for $114/nt for a king size room.

 

Initial low-ball bid began at $50 and increased with $5 increments.
