I was trying to find a 4/5 star hotel under 240 a night. I was looking in Fidi, Soho and Central Park South.  I am happy with the outcome. This hotel looks nice and has good reviews.

Thanks for the welcome and to answer the earlier post, I did name your own price.

 

I started much lower with name your own price. I saw people winning with lower bits but I think beacuse we are going so long I couldn't get it that low. It countered me at 203 for 4 star and I accepted. I think this must be a new feature because I've never had a coutner before without having to change something. It is a work trip with my husband and we usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express Wall Street, which is clean, small and pretty reasonable at 244 a night. I just wanted something that felt a bit more special and vacation like since we are celebrating buying our first home and our 5th year anniversary this week.
