Hi everyone,

I've just joined, so please be gentle  :D

I'm travelling to the US in July and will be in Vegas for 9 nights from 11 July.  I'm looking for a glamorous 5 star hotel with a view of the strip (and fountains too, if possible!) for no more than USD 200(inc tax) per day.  Is this possible, or am I dreaming?

I've been on Tripadvisor and read the reviews of many of the 5 star hotels and my head is absolutely spinning!

Would really appreciate any advice anybody can give me.  Also, would be good to get a cheap deal on Cirque du Soleil.

Thanks!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Your budget is no problem. My guess is that you're looking at $100-125 (before fees, taxes, resort fees, etc) for a 5* depending on if go with North or South zone.

If you need a special view etc is this a thing you need to deal with the hotel after the reservation. Strip view rooms are more expensive and can't be booked with HOTWIRE or PRICELINE

How do you want to play this? Would you like to go with PRICELINE or HOTWIRE?

If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive.

Please read this link: I've never used Priceline or Hotwire

Let us know how we can help you further with your stay.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.

I think the hotels in LV are sort of little self-contained unique worlds.  Each quite different.  With a nine-night stay, I'd be inclined to split it and experience two totally different hotels.

But then, I have to admit - when in a frozen yoghurt store with two different twist machines, I usually ask for some from both so I can have four flavors.   :P

I like THIS MAP for getting a general understanding of the city layout (and the Monorail route).

If you do go for two different hotels, I'd definitely think you'd want one North Strip and one South Strip.

Also, downtown Las Vegas has the Fremont Street Light Show - free.   Worth the time, IMHO.
