Hotwire Hotel: 4.5* Chicago (Magnificent Mile North - Water Tower) Omni Chicago Hotel

I'm booking a trip for the dates of 6/20 - 6/22 for an upcoming Chicago trip and have been eyeing a 4.5 star hotel in the Mag Mile North - Water Tower area that is priced at $208. 90% recommended, 4.5 on Tripadvisor. The amenities listed are pet friendly, indoor pools, smoke-free rooms, fitness center, pool(s), restaurant(s), business center, internet access, and accessible path of travel.

 

 

I have two questions:

- One, this doesn't quite seem to match up with any of the amenity sets listed for this star level and area. I would really love for my result to be the Omni because having a separate living area would be super helpful for us. Is it possible that this is a new amenity set for the Omni? They've never shown pet friendly as one of their amenities from what you have listed on the site here, but their website does state that they are a pet-friendly hotel. We don't actually need a pet-friendly hotel, I'm just wondering if there is at least a chance we're looking at the Omni here, or if something else is a better bet.

 

- Two, this trip actually has three people - myself, my husband, and our 11 month old son. But when hotwire says to put in how many children will be in the room, it is for ages 2 and up. So am I correct in assuming I would say zero children, since it doesn't appear that infants count towards the # of people in the room? If I put that we'll have one child with us, this hotel option is no longer listed.

I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links.

If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above?

Hmm strange, I did this and don't see one priced at $208 like I'm getting on Hotwire's site! I'm now seeing two different options for my listed dates that are 4.5 stars in the Mag Mile North - Water Tower area:

 

- $199. Amenities are Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower. So this one still doesn't really seem to match up with any of the amenity sets.

 

- $215. Amenities are Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique Hotel, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access. (I'm guessing this one is likely the Thompson.)

The only "known" 4.5*'s in this zone are the Omni, Ivy and Sofitel. The 4.5* amenity set with pool has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but I'd guess a new amenity set for the Omni, which is the only "known" 4.5* in this zone with a pool. The boutique for $215 would likely be the Ivy.
