longputter Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 Hi. Many previous bookings made at the Diplomat. Searched Hotwire for 2 adults April 18-20/14: Hollywood Beach 4* "HOTEL" $236 (regular $299) 100% recommended (10 reviews). Tripadvisor 4/5 Free Internet Beachfront hotel Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access Spa Services Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower There is also Hollywood Beach 4* "RESORT" for same dates at $192 (reg $239) 80% recommended (577 reviews). Tripadvisor 4/5 Free Internet Resort Near Beach Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access Golf Nearby Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower I know the RESORT listing is the classical amenity set for the Crowne Plaza (Free internet, no spa, 80%...). The first HOTEL listing has me confused since the Diplomat does not offer free internet and the Crowne Plaza (or the Marriott which is not on the Hotwire list) does not have a spa. Any ideas? Am I missing something? I have not seen Hot.wire list 2 four start properties in Hollywood at the same time before and not sure I understand the "HOLEL" versus "RESORT" distinction. Any help would be greatly appreciated. All above searches done through your site's BiddingHelper.com. Thanks.
AaronJB Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 Please provide a follow-up for your prior NYC Hotwire thread (post what you decided for that stay within that thread, then reply to this thread and we would be happy to take a look and try to ID.) Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
longputter Posted April 13, 2014 Author Report Posted April 13, 2014 Done (didn't end up going to NYC then). Thanks.
thereuare Posted April 13, 2014 Report Posted April 13, 2014 My guess for the first property would be the Marriott Hollywood Beach... i'd agree with your Crowne Plaza guess for the second property. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
longputter Posted February 21, 2015 Author Report Posted February 21, 2015 Sorry for the delay. Ended up at the Crowne plaza with the amenities listed as above for the second "RESORT" property. Please close thread. Thx
