alice.usa Posted April 11, 2014 Author Report Posted April 11, 2014 When I do a search for the same dates, but instead for 9 adults and 5 children, it changes slightly…does that mean it also changes the hotels? If anyone could help…I need 4 rooms in Fort lauderdale, Hollywood beach or Miami area. Thanks!

alice.usa Posted April 11, 2014 Author Report Posted April 11, 2014 Yes…I will be making the purchase for all of us either today or tomorrow if we find a good deal. So, I need 4 rooms for 9 adults and 4 children. Can you tell if the 4 star hotel in Hollywood beach is the Crown Plaza or the Westin Diplomat? I would really like the Westin Diplomat…but, I am also ok with the Fort Lauderdale area as long as it is within very easy walk to the beach. I will also consider Miami Beach area. thereuare Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Best guess/comments for each: 1) Fort Lauderdale Beach area, 3.5 stars --> Doubletee Guest Suites Gallery One 2)Fort lauderdale Beach area, 4 stars --> Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort 3)Fort Lauderdale Beach area, 3.0 stars --> Best Western Plus Oceanside Inn 4) Hollywood beach area, 4 stars --> the Diplomat is a possibility but i think the Crowne Plaza is a better guess Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. AaronJB Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 3.5* Beach - possible match for the Doubletree Guest Suites.3* Beach - Not yet ID'd/reported to the board - I'd guess a new amenity set for the Best Western Oceanside would be a maybe.4* Hollywood Beach - This could be either the Crowne Plaza or Westin, although I'd lean a bit more towards the Crowne Plaza. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
alice.usa Posted April 11, 2014 Author Report Posted April 11, 2014 From your experience, do you think these prices change during the beginning of the week, say monday thru wednesday are better days to book in HOTWIRE than weekends? Also, is there a way to guess with accuracy for the Sheraton Fort lauderdale either in HOTWIRE or PRICELINE? Thanks!
AaronJB Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 There is no best time of the week to buy. The discount services are entirely on a case-by-case basis - it's up to the hotel (based on demand they're seeing) whether to offer discounted inventory, how much and at what price. You can find the list of hotels reported to the board here: Hotwire Hotel List Florida, as well as the amenities associated with each. Only one (sometimes two) hotels appear at each star rating in each zone for each set of date/s. If the desired hotel is not showing, there is no way to know if it will. However, I don't recommend trying to wait for a particular hotel to pop up as you could easily miss other deals while waiting for a hotel that very well may never appear for your date/s of travel. alice.usa Posted April 11, 2014 Author Report Posted April 11, 2014 I need 4 rooms for 9 adults and 4 children. Looking for 3, 3.5 and 4 star in Fort Lauderdale beach, Hollywood beach. Is there a way to know about the Sheraton Fort lauderdale, or the Westin Dipplomat either in Hotwire or Priceline? Thanks!

In terms of bidding, you have to be willing to stay at any hotel within the selected zone and at the star rating selected. There is no way to guarantee a particular hotel (such as the Sheraton or Westin.) I'm seeing a 4* in the Hollywood Beach area on the Express Deals side of the service for your date/s, but it looks like the Crowne Plaza. alice.usa Posted April 11, 2014 Author Report Posted April 11, 2014 I am wondering if having a spa is option to discriminate between the Crowne Plaza and the Westin Diplomat for 4 star in Fort Lauderdale beach area? I am assuming the westin has more recomendations in regards to % or trip advisor review? For Instance, I am seeing these result for a research for 9 adults, 4 children 07/05-07/084 star, Fort Lauderdale from $274 for $180, 90% recommendedResort, Near Beach, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Kitchenette, Spa Services, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom Having a Kitchnette and a spa rings a bell? Thanks!
yellowdog Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 Crowne Plaza and Westin Diplomat aren't located in the Fort Lauderdale zone. They are located in the Hollywood Beach zone. And both of them are reported without Spa. Let us know how we can help you further with this stay. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches. thereuare Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 2)Fort lauderdale Beach area, 4 stars original price: $274 going for $180, 90% recommended Resort, Near Beach, Fitness Center, Pool(s, )Restaurant(s, )Business Center, Internet access, Kitchenette, Spa Services, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom ???2)Fort lauderdale Beach area, 4 stars --> Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort The latest hotel quoted below is the same property asked about in the beginning of this thread... the Spa and Kitchenette were included in our guess the first time around. 4 star, Fort Lauderdale from $274 for $180, 90% recommended Resort, Near Beach, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Kitchenette, Spa Services, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom Having a Kitchnette and a spa rings a bell? Thanks! If you're looking/hoping for the Crowne Plaza both AaronJB and I both guessed that the 4th hotel from your original query (for 9adults/5children) was that Crowne Plaza. alice.usa Posted April 14, 2014 Author Report Posted April 14, 2014 I am ready to book the 4 rooms for Miami finally tomorrow. Does anyone agree that this could be the Holiday Inn? Or the Riu Florida? i would be fine either way, but would very much prefer the Holiday inn. Is there a possibility that this could be another hotel? Thanks! 3* Miami Beach Area Search: 4 rooms, 8 adults, 8 children for 07/05 -07/08/14 Free Internet, Beachfront hotel, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower ( 3.5/5 trip advisor )
thereuare Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 It could always be a hotel other than we guess, and with only 9 reviews by previous HOTWIRE guests it's entirely possible that this is a fairly new hotel added to the HOTWIRE system. The Riu and Holiday Inn would be the best guess for this one, and with so few reviews i think the Riu is slightly more likely, but i'd also be prepared for something 'new'.
