Bobo Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Just wanted to add that I did get a Hyatt Regency Vancouver 4* for $75/nite for Nov 10 through 12th (3 nites - Thurs - Sat). I made this bid on Wed Nov 2nd, I had a contingency that precluded me from bidding earlier and would have loved to get the Marriott Pinnacle but they must have sold their allotment of Priceline rooms. Started at $63 - 4* - downtown Vancouver and had to keep adding free re-bid zones and $4 until winning bid of $75/nite. Total with taxes of $259.10 US plus $24/day CDN parking = not a fantastic deal, but it is still much better than going to any of the hotelier's websites or Hotwire, etc. Hyatt wants almost double this on their website. Reviews on the Hyatt seem to be mixed.... that maybe it's only a 3* or 3.5*... it is well located and they do brag that they have the largest rooms in Vancouver... will find out. Now if it would only quit raining... We've received quite a bit of the wet stuff in the Pacific NW this last week and it looks like it's going to continue on through this next week.
