Priceline Hotel: 4* Austin downtown hotel

Hi ,

 

Will be travelling to Austin Downtown in late april.

I have more or less know which hotel im looking at from the PRICELINE EXPRESS.

There are two 4* Austin hotels i can choose from. $127 & $102.

For $102 hotel. Amenities : Outdoor pool, Pets allowed, business & fitness center. Guess: either Hyatt Regency or Hilton Austin?

For $127 hotel: 99% AT&T hotel

i read alot of bad reviews on name your price on PRICELINE.

My questions

Are the hotels in name your price identical to express deals?

Coz i definitely don't want AT&T coz a little far from heart of austin.

 

Bottom line: im looking at hotel accessible by foot instead of driving if possible to save on parkings other than hotel parking.

Anyone with bad encounter from name your price priceline?

The 'bidding' side of PRICELINE and the PRICELINE EXPRESS side use a different universe of hotels, but there is a lot of overlap.

When bidding on PRICELINE there is no way to target, or avoid, a specific hotel in the zone... you need to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating, or higher, that you choose. If there is a hotel you're not willing to accept, PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE would be a better option.
