augweb Posted April 1, 2014 Report Posted April 1, 2014 I am looking for a 4,5* hotel in Miami Beach (ocean front or collins ave) from 5/6 to 5/9. what is the price range i should start bidding?
AaronJB Posted April 1, 2014 Report Posted April 1, 2014 Welcome to Betterbidding. :) So we don't suggest a strategy that goes higher than you're willing to pay, what would be your maximum budget per night for this stay? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
augweb Posted April 2, 2014 Author Report Posted April 2, 2014 My maximum budget woulb be $180 per night. is there any chance to get such a hotel? I woul d got down to 3.5*... Thank you!
thereuare Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 PRICELINE EXPRESS has a 4* hotel in the Ocean Drive zone with: Outdoor Pool Restaurant Business Center The rate is $154/nite, but using the discount link and code in my signature takes an additional 5% OFF and brings this down to $147/nite. Assuming this is acceptable, you can therefore reduce your maximum bid to $145/nite, and if rejected, take this PRICELINE EXPRESS hotel at the equivalent of $147/nite. Perhaps another option, HOTWIRE currently has a 4* hotel in the South Beach-Ocean Drive zone for $118/nite with: Free Internet Pet Friendly Boutique Fitness Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ... this property is also showing an impress 4.5/5.0 TA rating, so you may just want to take the HOTWIRE offer given that they're also showing only one room left. My best guess for this property would be the Pelican Hotel (which if correct, is 3.5* rated by PRICELINE, but one you may want to consider given the price and high user reviews). Let us know if you simply want to take the HOTWIRE offer (and let us know how it goes), or if you want to bid on PRICELINE, let us know if we should lower your maximum bid based upon the HOTWIRE hotel (if still offered) or the PRICELINE EXPRESS property.
