Need help identifying this 4* hotel for $131.

The closest I've found is MileNorth (but spa not listed), Dana (but spa not listed) and Public (but boutique listed). Any guesses?

 

I would also be interested in this 3.5* for $131 for the same dates:

Is this the Whitehall? I really don't want public, so if we're confident this is the Whitehall, I may go with that.

 

Also, am I booking too far in advance? Should I expect lower prices closer to?

I'm not certain, but my guess for the 4* would be the Public Chicago and for the 3.5* the Crowne Plaza Chicago Magnificent Mile.

Nobody can say if rates will come down, or move higher, between now and your trip, but these rates seem reasonable for this time of year as the Chicago weather begins to get nicer during the Spring months.

Even though it has Boutique Hotel listed as an amenity? I haven't found any successful bids that have shown this amenity listed for Public. I just really don't want to be that far north into the Gold Coast area.

Hotels add/change their HOTWIRE amenity sets all the time, the Boutique amenity may have been added since the last reported win for this property. As this HOTWIRE offer has over 300+ reviews i suspect it's not a new hotel recently added to their system.

So I went with the 3.5* (amenities listed above) because I really didn't want the Public Hotel due to it's location...and got Hotel Indigo, which is around the corner from Public. Ah well, it's somewhere to sleep.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get what you were hoping for, but this is actually a really nice property in a pretty location - the Gold Coast has a lot of restaurants and nightlife, as well as beautiful residential areas. The convenience of this location is that there is a subway station 2 blocks away.
