Are you bidding just the LAX airport zone?  

 

I checked your dates individually on PRICELINE EXPRESS.

 

For LAX:

 

4/10 No 4* availability,   $98 3.5*

 

4/11          " "             , $120 3.5*

 

4/12          " "             , $120 3.5*

 

4/13     $89 4*,             $89 3.5*

 

4/14    $110 4*,            $91

 

While there can be different hotels available via bidding and via Priceline.Express, it is possible there also aren't any 4* hotels available for bidding for your first three nights.   

 

Assuming you are bidding just LAX,  you might have to split your bid doing 3.5* hotels for your first three nights and 4* for your last two nights.  Or if you don't want to move, doing 3.5* hotels all the way.

Thanks for the advice! I searched Price.line and Ho.twire both before bidding.  There was a 4* at $132 and 3.5* at $98 on PRICELINE EXPRESS and a 4* at $99 on Hot.wire.  I tried the 4* from $75-95 with no luck.  Started 3.5* at $79 was offered the immediate "free re-bid" at $27 for $106.  Kept at it and hit at $95.  If $95 had failed, I would have booked that $98 3.5* PRICELINE EXPRESS (probably same hotel).
