cookie monster Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 Hi there,Was wondering if you guys can help me with a bidding strategy. NYC for Mar 29-31, 2014, 1 room 3 adults. Yeah a bit close...lolSee a bunch of wins at about 120 for the 4* hotels.Looking to stay at 4* in preferably the following areas. MTE, MTW, TS. (CPS or ESB if need be)Not really picky just looking for the best bang for the buck. (Will pay up to 150 if need be)After all these years you guys are still doing a great job.Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
cookie monster Posted March 25, 2014 Author Report Posted March 25, 2014 Normally its just me and my wife. But this time we have a friend coming too. (hence 3 adults) Just noticed the Double occupancy :(Any chance we might get 2 beds in NYC or would we have better luck in trying to get 2 beds in New Jersey and then just take the train over to NY? She doesn't mind sharing a bed with us...but will we get in trouble? (from the hotel? lol)
AaronJB Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 Welcome to Betterbidding. If you bid on PRICELINE in NYC, there is a very high risk that you will not get two beds. PRICELINE Express sometimes offers bed choice (although that may not mean two beds, you have to click on the listing) or I would search on HOTWIRE for more than 2 people. That should result in more than 1 bed - but that can mean two beds, 1 + rollaway or 1 + sofabed. Are there any listings of interest on either service in your desired budget when searching for these date/s? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 After all these years you guys are still doing a great job.THANKS! :) Not really picky just looking for the best bang for the buck. (Will pay up to 150 if need be)When searching HOTWIRE for 3adults there is a 4* hotel in the MSG zone for $153/nite (your price may differ by a few dollars) with: Free Internet Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ... best guess for this one would be the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel, should this work for your needs. Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
