I put in a bid of $90 for a 5* Strip North for June 14-18, but it was rejected. The median price was $90. I plan on bidding again in the morning but I'm not sure how much I should increase my offer. What do you suggest?

Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. When you win a hotel use the ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN button on the lower right corner of this page and the thread will automatically be moved to the correct section of the board (if necessary).

Priceline.express has a 5* hotel in the Strip North zone for your dates with:

Outdoor Pool

Free Parking

Restaurant

Business Center

Casino

Fitness Center

This is priced at $133/nite, but using the discount link and code in my signature brings this down to $126/nite... not sure how high you're willing to bid, but assuming this is an acceptable amount for this stay, i would use the following strategy:

When bidding 5* in Las Vegas you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 5* Strip North...

Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $103, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $108, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $113, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $118, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $123, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $125

If the above is rejected then take the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer with the discount in my signature.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.

Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases

Won the Venetian! I took your advice and increased my offer by $5.00 each time and ended up with my second choice. The family is happy! Thanks for the advice.

I called the Venetian and they said if there were rooms available at the Palazzo it would be a one time $30.00 change fee. I asked if that was per day and the attendant so no, it was a one time fee per room.
