Yes, I need to book hotel in NewYork for both travel dates as I will be joining a 14 day tour in between. Would you suggest adding Midtown West and Central Park South ? Generally speaking all of the following zones are considered to be convenient and well located for the average user: MTE, MTW, TS, CPS, MSG, ESB However, note the following caveats for some of the zones above: CPS - well located but contains the Hudson Hotel which has notoriously small rooms (even by NYC standards) MTE - most hotels are well located, but a handful can be a 10-15 minute walk to the subway (although those near the upper end of this range have not been seen for quite some time, so while chances of these my be low, they are still a possibility) Can also be considered: Chelsea - some parts of the zone do not provide as easy subway access as the zones above, but this is a 'hot' area right now with lots of bars, clubs, restaurants, cafes, boutiques, etc... so it may be considered if this is the type of environment you're looking for Let us know which of the zones above are acceptable, as well as your maximum bid for this leg of your stay, and we will advise accordingly. You mentioned this PRICELINE EXPRESS 4* hotel in the ESB zone:Pets AllowedRestaurantFitness Center... the rate is $143/nite I am wondering which hotel it could possibly be in your expert opinion? AaronJB Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 ESB 4* could be a possible match for the Affinia Shelburne, Carlton, 70 Park Avenue or W Union Square. This is during the busier Summer period, so waiting does risk the possibility that prices may go higher and/or listings of interest may change/disappear.
