mjorgo Posted March 22, 2014 Report Posted March 22, 2014 Hi, I'm new to the board and I'm looking for a hotel in central london for 3/27/14 & 3/28/14. I would greatly appreciate your help with bidding strategy and hotel identification. In particular I'm looking at the following regions in order of preference: 1 - Westimnster2 - The City & London Bridge3 - Notting Hill - Bayswater4 - Kensington - Earl's Court My budget is $125/night inlcuding taxes. I have checked out the hotwire & the express deals on Priceline, but I hope that I can do better with bidding. I would prefer a hotel with free internet and located close to the train. Regards, MJ
thereuare Posted March 22, 2014 Report Posted March 22, 2014 Welcome to BetterBidding! 3/27/14 & 3/28/14.This is a 2 nite stay with check-out on 3/29, correct? My budget is $125/night inlcuding taxes. To avoid any confusion and so that any strategy we suggest doesn't exceed your budget, what is your maximum bid price. I have checked out the hotwire & the express deals on Priceline, but I hope that I can do better with bidding. I would prefer a hotel with free internet and located close to the train. When bidding on PRICELINE you need to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) that you bid.... there is no way to target a hotel with a specific amenity (ie- Free Internet) or location within the zone, but you can see all hotels previously reported to the board in our Priceline Hotel List. Let us know the information above and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
mjorgo Posted March 23, 2014 Author Report Posted March 23, 2014 Thanks for the quick response! Correct, it's a 2 nights stay, with check out 3/29. I would like to keep my bid price below $100. I totally understand that I would have to accept any hotel with NYOP. I would also need help identify a express deal hotel on Priceline & another on Hotwire. Should I start a separate thread or can I provide that information here? many thanks,MJ
yellowdog Posted March 23, 2014 Report Posted March 23, 2014 I would also need help identify a express deal hotel on Priceline & another on Hotwire. Should I start a separate thread or can I provide that information here? Please keep all posts in the same thread since posts are for the same stay. Would you like to start with trying to get the best price with the bidding service or would you feel more comfortable if we tried to ID the hotels for you? If you need any ID help so please list the amenities PRICELINE EXPRESS and HOTWIRE associates with the hotels you're looking at and we'll be happy to have a look at this. Good luck! Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches. Yellowdog.

yellowdog Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 1 -Hotwire: Westminster - Victoria - Big Ben area - 131$/night I believe there may have been more amenities than you listed in your post. HOTWIRE has a new interface which is not currently showing the complete set of amenities at the usual point of the search process. Please run a new search using our BiddingHelper.com tool at the top of this page. Once the search is completed, use the EASY VIEW TAB and click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing to view the complete set of amenities. This is what I see when replicating your search, Free Internet Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Deaf Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking If this is what you see would my best guess be Novotel Waterloo London 2 - Priceline: 4 Star Hotel in Westminster Area for $133/night My guess is that this is also the Novotel Waterloo London. Keep us updated on your progress and let us know what you ultimately decide or if we can be of further help. Please use the PRICELINE and hot.wire links on the board to begin your purchases and searches. Yellowdog.
