Blintzkie Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 Long time lurker in the shadows and finally registered. I've recommended this site to many. Looking to stay in Chelsea, TSQ, MTW or MSG area the last weekend in April. No Saturday night stay which I am thinking might hurt our rate. Also never done the bidding so I am not sure what I should be considering as a starting bid. We would like to get two rooms and if under $200/night that would be fantastic. Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.
AaronJB Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Just to confirm, are you looking for under $200 per room per night or under $200 total per night? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Blintzkie Posted March 4, 2014 Author Report Posted March 4, 2014 Well if could do under $200 all together I would be happy but I would say max stay around $225 to $250 (taxes included)
thereuare Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 You can likely get a 4* hotel in one of these zones for a room rate of $185 or less... do you want to try for a 4* hotel first OR do you want to try for the least expensive 3.5* or better hotel for this trip? Let us know the above and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Blintzkie Posted March 5, 2014 Author Report Posted March 5, 2014 Three and a half stars would be fine if I can get around 150 but if it's much more than (say $25) that I'd go for the four stars first.Typically stay at Hampton Inns, Courtyards, etc.
thereuare Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 I'm not following, can you please clarify... Did you want to first try for a 3.5* up to $150, then if rejected try for a 4* up to $175... or did you want to first try for a 3.5* up to $175? Please confirm and we'll advise accordingly.
