iori_terry Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 Hello! First time using Price.line here, and was hoping to get some help on a bidding strategy around the LES, East Village (greyed out) or Chelsea. Would quite enjoy Brooklyn, but only Dumbo/Greenpoint/Williamsburg, but the concern is that the Brooklyn area on PL is very vast and could end up significantly further out. Looking for a pref 4 star location for $150/night (not sure if that is realistic) but can flex to $175 if needed. Really appreciate your help in this! Thanks! PC
thereuare Posted March 20, 2014 Report Posted March 20, 2014 Welcome to BetterBidding! (and sorry for the delay in replying) ...hoping to get some help on a bidding strategy around the LES, East Village (greyed out) or Chelsea. If the area is greyed-out (Union Square - East Village) then there is currently no bidding offered in that zone. Would quite enjoy Brooklyn, but only Dumbo/Greenpoint/Williamsburg...When bidding on PRICELINE you need to be willing to accept a hotel anywhere within the shaded boundaries of the zone... if there are parts of the zone you're not willing to accept, then you shouldn't include this zone in your bidding. Looking for a pref 4 star location for $150/night (not sure if that is realistic) but can flex to $175 if neededAt current rates i'm doubtful that even $175 would be successful for a 4* hotel. We can/will suggest a strategy for you to follow, but before doing so, as per above you would now only be bidding on two zones (LES and Chelsea).. are any other zones acceptable for this trip?
