yellowdog Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 Welcome to BetterBidding! I can't get the same 3.5* hotel to appear on my standard search for 2 adults (I do see the 4*). How many rooms/adults/children did you search for? Can you please run a new search and confirm that you still can see this hotel on your search. Please use the PRICELINE and hot.wire links on the board to begin your purchases and searches. Yellowdog.
Collin01 Posted March 19, 2014 Author Report Posted March 19, 2014 Hi yellowdog, No I can't see the 3.5* anymore. Do you have an idea for the 4*? Thanks for your help
yellowdog Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 It looks like HOTWIRE has changed the inventory for the 3.5* hotel. For the 4* property would a guess be Row NYC. But I'm not sure. Let us know how we can help you further with your stay. Please use the PRICELINE and hot.wire links on the board to begin your purchases and searches. Yellowdog.

thereuare Posted March 22, 2014 Report Posted March 22, 2014 What is it that you're looking for from this stay, as well as your minimum star rating and maximum budget... do you really want to stay at hotels that are recommended by less than half of those HOTWIRE customers who have stayed there previously? Collin01 Posted March 22, 2014 Author Report Posted March 22, 2014 I'm looking for a hotel in the center next to the times square. Minimum 3* I already booked the Wellington hotel as a backup for about $780. So I'm searching for a hotel in this price range with better amenities and if possible a little closer to the times square. The 35% recommondation are just 8 reviews. This is not really meaningful for me. Am I wrong? Sorry for my bad english...
thereuare Posted March 22, 2014 Report Posted March 22, 2014 The 35% recommondation are just 8 reviews. This is not really meaningful for me. Am I wrong? At 60%, and with no other options within your budget, maybe you could make a case for exploring this one... but when there are other viable options at this same price point, why even take a chance with one? Some current options include what i believe to be the following: MAve hotel for $98/nite - a little south of Times Square (where you will likely spend less time than you think) but good subway access with multiple subway lines all fairly close Row NYC for $135/nite - formerly the Milford Plaza which was awful, but just taken over by this new hotel group and thus far reviews have been on the upswing. Although 4* rated i'd go with the expectations of something less (but should be within your 3* or better requirement) and if you're looking for Times Square you're not likely to get closer at this price point. Wyndham New Yorker Hotel for $140/nite - formerly the Ramada New Yorker, just taken over by Wynhdam... older, but historic, hotel with a very convenient location Are any of the above of interest? If not, please further indicate your needs for this stay or what you don't like about any of the above so we can further help you filter thru the offers.
