afoster770 Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 I need help bidding on a minivan for the above dates and location. I have bid up to $45 and have not won. It says to increase bids to $65, but at this time Alamo has a rental for $65 so I do not feel like that's a good deal yet.
thereuare Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 We just redesigned our Car Rental Rate Checker... using the Expe.dia view i'm seeing a $58.76 rate from Alamo (and Enterprise if you have a preference) and assuming refundable i would book one of these as a back-up just in case rates don't go down between now and your trip... or if they were to move even higher from here. Assuming you book this $58 rate, how much of a discount would you need to lock in a non-refundable reservation at this point in time? afoster770 Posted March 18, 2014 Author Report Posted March 18, 2014 I am just now able to look and Alamo and Enterprise are up to >$90 now. It must have changed since this morning. I will check back later. I think anything between $50 and $60 would be good.
thereuare Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 Yes, their rates must have changed since the others are showing the same rates that i had seen earlier today. You can use the Car Rental Checker to easily monitor rates for your dates at PRICELINE, HOTWIRE, and exped.ia all with one search. Can you please further reply to this thread with the rental company that were you assigned so we can edit the topic title and complete this listing.
