In rare circumstances you could also be denied your room and/or charged extra for an upgrade that could properly accommodate all of you.

As well, note that all PRICELINE reservations are for DOUBLE OCCUPANCY only (after that it's at the discretion of the hotel), so you're not just sneaking one extra person in, your actually 3 over the limit.

As noted above, the city has a lot to do with just how much risk this entails... as an example, not something i would recommend in NYC where rooms are notoriously small to begin with, hotels have a high percentage of rooms with only one bed, and rooms with two beds are often considered an upgrade from 'standard'.
