UrbanTraveller Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 Ideally, I want a 4* hotel in Midtown West for roughly $200/night. I already have the Edison hotel booked for these same dates for $229 (as a fall back hotel in case my bids fail). Which strategy should I use? Thanks!
thereuare Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 Is the MTW zone the only one that you're willing to accept? Rates are high for these daets, so including more zones (assuming others are acceptable as well) will give mor hotels the opportunity to accept your bid price. As well, most midtown zones are relatively small geographiacally and close together, that most find there to be little difference in terms of convenience from one zone to the next. (although of course you may want to include/exclude certain zones in order to try to target/avoid any properites that you think you may like/dislike) Please confirm if MTW is the only acceptable zone and we'll advise accordingly. UrbanTraveller Posted February 25, 2014 Author Report Posted February 25, 2014 I am open to looking at MTE and CPS in addition to MTW. I still want to stick with the price being around $200/night. I have stayed at the Hudson Hotel in CPS before but would not recommend it to others. I also don't need to be in the middle of the action in Times Square but am open to that area as well (although it's not a requirement). Thanks again, Shannon

UrbanTraveller Posted March 13, 2014 Author Report Posted March 13, 2014 Please help identify the above hotel by the following amenities: 3* MTC $187/nite - free internet - fitness centre - pool(s) - restaurant(s0 - internet access - accessible for the blind - accessible for the deaf - accessible path of travel - in-room accessibility - accessible bathroom - handicapped parking - roll in shower I have already used the BiddingHelper.com.com.... all amenities stayed the same. Any ideas what this hotel could be?
AaronJB Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 Is there also a BUSINESS CENTER amenity associated with this property? I'd guess the Holiday Inn Midtown would be a likely possibility in this case. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
UrbanTraveller Posted March 14, 2014 Author Report Posted March 14, 2014 Just wanted to thank you for your help with the bidding strategy for this trip. I won a 3.5* hotel in the Madison Square Gardens - Convention Area area for $183/night. The hotel I won was the Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Times Square West.
