Both the Charlotte Auto Fair as well as the Metrolina antique show take place during this time period so extraordinary deals on hotel rooms are tricky to negotiate. i have stayed at the Country Inns & Suites Charlotte Airport many times. The property is not as good as it used to be several years back. They have scaled back breakfast and the rooms need renovating.
