(2 couples, 2 rooms).Does it help that one couple will arrive Thursday and my need rooms the following Sun, Monday as well?Given that I have a lot of time should I be bidding lower until I'm into mid December? Is priceline a good bet to arrange for a car? Thanks for any help.Fish
Mschnurr Posted November 4, 2005 Author Report Posted November 4, 2005 I think that I posted on the Hotwire forum instead of Priceline. Is it reasonable to get a 3* Beach for Saturday January 14, 2006 for $75?I actually need two rooms for that night pre-cruise.I may come in Thursday and need to check in for 3 nights prior to Sunday's cruise departure.Should I try to arrange for a room for Sunday Jan 22 and Monday Jan 23 at the same time? Thanks fopr any help.Mike
Mschnurr Posted November 15, 2005 Author Report Posted November 15, 2005 How does this work? Can I book two rooms, pay with my CC and have another couple who is travelling with us use the extra room?Would I book both rooms under my name?Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
thereuare Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 You can book up to four rooms per reservation.Priceline: asks for you the name of the person checking into each room... you can use your name for all reservations or use the actual guest's name... better to use the actual guest's name since that person must be there during check-in, so if you put all reservations in your name and for some reason you can't make the trip (illness, family emergency, delayed flight, etc) then the other room would also go to wasteHotwire: all rooms are booked under one person's namePS- if this is for your Key West stays please let us know so that we can merge this thread with your existing threads Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Mschnurr Posted November 15, 2005 Author Report Posted November 15, 2005 Thanks for your help.In this particular case it's for my pre-crusie stay on Jan 14, 2006 ex Port Everglades.I'm flying in Thursday Jan 12/06 and would like to spend a couple of nights in Key West or a beach area.I would also like to get a beach area hotel when I retrun form my cruise Jan 22 for 2 days preferabbly near Ft Lauderdale.I've already had succes booking a Standard size car at $24/day for three days prior to cruise thru Priceline. Thanks for the Board and all of your help. I think that I may be too premature in arranging lodging this early.Mike

Mschnurr Posted November 16, 2005 Author Report Posted November 16, 2005 Bid 3* FLL Airport started at $65 in $5 increments up to $85 adding Downtown, Beach, Hollywood & Pomapno Beach all at 3* for Jan 14 to Jan 15 pre-cruise this afternoon.I tried 4* $95 FLL Beach area this evening for two rooms and rejected also. Will have my friend attempt some new bids tomorrow evening. My areas in order of preference would be Downtown, Beach area, Airport, Hollywood, Pimpano Beach, Coral Springs.Would like to have a 3* and would go to $100 bid if necessary.Any suggestions on how and where to start pricewise would be appreciated.I'd like to arrange for the pre-cruise one night for two couples before I concern myself with the other two evenings at the begining and end of my vacation because I can almost stay anywhere that there is sun and sand.ThanksMike
