Tom1 Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 Hello, I need help to identify a 3.5* hotel - I'm looking for hotel which is foot step from Disneyland and have a free parking place. Anaheim - Disneyland North area / Dates: 4.18 to 4.20.14 Price: $147 $71 65% recommended Tripadvisor 3.5 out of 5.0 FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet Boutique Hotel Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Self service laundry Internet access Spa Services Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower * It seems to be the Anabella Hotel (if I checked it right), so I just want to make sure that I'm not mistaken here. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 Welcome to Betterbidding. :) For this particular amenity set, my guess would be Anabella, as well. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Tom1 Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 Not sure what is going on but, I can see a 3.5* deal but on the regular hotels section there's no Anabella listed.Anyone know what can it be ? Thanks
yellowdog Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Are you referring to the retail section of HOTWIRE? The "best guess" property doesn't have to be listed there. I hope this answer your question. Let us know how we can help you further with your stay. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches. Yellowdog.
Tom1 Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 i thought that all the properties which Hotwire work with suppose to be under the "Standard rate hotel list".If not, how do we suppose to know which hotels they offer us in each area ?
yellowdog Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 HOTWIRE doesn't use all hotels that you see in the retail section. Some companies work with the 'retail' side but not the 'opaque side', and vice-verse. how do we suppose to know which hotels they offer us in each area ?You can ask the board help and will try to research with our best guess. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches. Yellowdog.
Tom1 Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 Thanks for the answer. It just makes it a lot harder to guess :(
Tom1 Posted March 9, 2014 Author Report Posted March 9, 2014 Hi again, I need another help please, with 3* hotel at the same location and same dates (18.4 - 20.4) Anaheim north $149 / $87 Tripadvisor 4.5 out of 5.0 Hotwire 100% recommended FULL AMENITIES: Free Parking Free Internet Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Self service laundry Internet access
thereuare Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 My best guess for this 3* would be the Howard Johnson Plaza-Hotel Anaheim. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Tom1 Posted March 10, 2014 Author Report Posted March 10, 2014 Could it be a match to Ayres Hotel Anaheim ?
thereuare Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 I don't see anything that would exclude it from being the Ayres, but i think the Howard Johnson Plaza-Hotel Anaheim would be a better guess for this one. (i know the HoJo doesn't usually scream quality, but this one is 4.5/5.0 rated on TA) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Tom1 Posted March 10, 2014 Author Report Posted March 10, 2014 I prefer the "HoJo", but I'm afraid that it's going to be the Ayres since I saw the "last person got" the Ayres :(
thereuare Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 The "last person got ___" info is in reference to the last person that bought a 3* hotel in this zone... not for the specific hotel offered. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Tom1 Posted March 11, 2014 Author Report Posted March 11, 2014 Yeah I know. it just got me nervous that my search would probably get this hotel since it's falling on the same categories and area just like the HoJo.
thereuare Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Both hotels are highly rated with a 4.5/5.0 TA rating, why is it that you would want to avoid the Ayres? Tom1 Posted March 11, 2014 Author Report Posted March 11, 2014 I want to be as close as I can to Disney so I can go there by foot and won't need any shuttle or car.If the distance wasn't an issue I would go for both without blinking.
Tom1 Posted March 11, 2014 Author Report Posted March 11, 2014 Now that I checked it again, your guess is wrong my friend.HoJo is only 2.5* so it doesn't make sense Could be only, Hotel Indigo Anaheim or Ayres Hotel Anaheim
thereuare Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Now that I checked it again, your guess is wrong my friend. HoJo is only 2.5* so it doesn't make senseThis property has not been reported to the board in quite some time and it's possible that it has been upgraded since the last report. ;) If you click the HOTWIRE offer and scroll down to the middle of the page (where it stays 100% recommended) you'll see previous users give the 'Location of hotel' a 5.0/5.0 rating, so assuming others visiting this area have the same needs that you do, they have given their highest rating for this property in terms of location. You could also use our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com which shows hotels near almost any address in the world and the interface makes it easy to see how much more/less it would cost to go up/down in star rating OR to stay closer/further for your ideal location. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help. Tom1 Posted March 12, 2014 Author Report Posted March 12, 2014 The "sister site" is awesome ! But I didn't get the answer. I was searching for a 3* hotel and "HoJo" is only 2.5* (haven't been upgrade on Tripadvisor or the "Sistet site") so I'm still not sure how it is related to the search.
thereuare Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 The "sister site" is awesome !Glad you like the MAPS and HOTELS.com site... it's a very powerful interface. I was searching for a 3* hotel and "HoJo" is only 2.5* (haven't been upgrade on Tripadvisor or the "Sistet site") so I'm still not sure how it is related to the search.I don't know if the Howard Johnson was upgraded or not, but it's possible that it has been we won't know until it is reported to the board as such (or at the current star level). Every hotel agency rates hotels based upon their own criteria, so that wasn't the purpose of searching at MAPS and HOTELS.com, that was to give you some alternatives/options that you could easily see hotels that are walkable to Disneyland. Keep us updated on your progress and let us know whatever you decide to do for this trip or if we can be of further help.
