rcr70
i would like to pay for a reunion if i can get a decent rate on priceline. the event is in june. plan to have people make their own reservations that they can cancel and try priceline the week of the event. are hotels inclined to give empty rooms away at a good discount for people wanting 10 rooms for 3 days or do they try to game us knowing getting 10 rooms at a discount at any hotel is not easy. thanks Link to comment
thereuare
You don't say what location you're considering so can't offer too much specific advice, but your best bet is to pick up the phone and start calling hotels, but my guess is that: 1) most hotels will not give you a deep discount for fully refundable rooms without committing to a fixed number (and 10 isn't really that many for most properties)... if you're holding the event there it's a different story, but 10 rooms with not other commitment i don't think you're going to see much of a discount 2) when it comes time to bid on PRICELINE, if everyone is bidding on their own, different users may receive different hotels (which depending upon your reunion plans may or may not work for the needs of your group) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
