I would like to spend no more than $200 a night and would like a 4 star hotel. My daughter and I would like to see the normal touristy spots statute of liberty, ground zero, a broadway show, Times Square, ride the subway to go places, little Italy. We will be walking mostly when not on the subway. First we would like to be in a location that is in walking distance to subways, bodegas that are open late and other things to do within walking distance. I already mentally eliminated MTE based on the Roosevelt. My comfort is important. :)The Chelsea zone looks promising, wasn't sure how close it was to other venues.Thanks for your help

Not sure if your daughter is a child or an adult, but unless the two of you intend on going to clubs together i wouldn't necessarily recommend the Chelsea zone. It's a 'hot' area right now, but for the indications you've mentioned above i would stick with the more central areas such as MTW, TS, MSG, and ESB (MTE is good too but i didn't include it since you have ruled it out above... i excluded CPS due to the Hudson Hotel as you said comfort is important to you) Let us know once you decide which zone are acceptable and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. I am thinking mtw and TS may be our first choices, and msg esb being second. Does that help in assistance with bidding? Thank you!

OR is the goal the least expensive 4* in any of these four zones? Also note that the Milford Plaza has recently changed hands, is now called "The Row NYC", and is currently 4* rated by both PRICELINE and HOTWIRE.
