I'm driving from Fort Myers and would rather stay the night over that area so I'm getting some kind of sleep before heading to the airport. Just looking at prices, even 2* are pretty pricey and make me question whether the money is worth sleeping for a few hours. I'm not extremely picky but also don't want to be in a crime ridden area or worry about bugs crawling over me at night. Looking for maybe a decent 2* - 2.5*. So far I've tried bidding any where from the 35 - 50$ range with no luck. Any suggestions or help?

I wouldn't recommended that you bid on a lower rated hotel in the beach zone. What is your max budget before tax/fee's? Let us know and we'll go from there. You are driving from Fort Myers to Fort Lauderdale in order to catch an early flight at Fort Lauderdale Airport (to some destination outside of Florida)... you would like a room for the nite of 3/14 that is convenient to the Airport to catch your early morning flight. momof4FL Posted March 6, 2014 Author Report Posted March 6, 2014 Scenario is correct - I live in fort myers, drivin to Ft Laud to catch a 6am flight on the morning of the 15th. My budget is 60$ or less due to the fact that I won't even be getting to the area until about 8pm Friday night. I have tried up to 50$ with no luck. I just don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a hotel that i'm only going to be at for 8 hours or less. But if I don't stay over night I'll get little sleep Friday night and have to be out the door from fort myers at 2am to get to the airport.Also I have tried even 1* at 50$ (63 after taxes) with no luck. but also am shady about what hotels I would get. I'm not super picky but don't want a really bad part of town or a completely crappy run down bug ridden hotel. know what I mean?
