Priceline Hotel: Help with Ft Lauderdale Beach 3.5* to 4*

Hi,

 

I'm hoping for some assistance.

Travelling to Ft. Lauderdale next week and would like to stay in the Beach area. Check in 3/13 and check out 3/17

 

I've tried the follow strategy already using the links here:

 

4* Beach

Max bid up to $175 using the 5 re-bid zones

 

also tried:

 

3.5* Beach, bid up to $160 per night using the 2 re-bid zones.

 

Is this timeframe just more expensive than my max bids?

I see that on Hotwire, I can get a 4* Beach area hotel for $177 per night... would that probably be my best bet? Any idea what that Hotwire hotel is?

I don't know if there's anything special going on or it's just "spring break prices".

It looks like the HOTWIRE deal is you best bet with current rates.
