Hotwire Hotel: Boston Trip help

I am thinking of going to Boston this June after my school gets out. I am looking for a good part of Boston to stay in for a college student like myself and a hotel that is close to the "T". Any suggestions?

First, do you know the dates you're looking to travel?

Both hotwire and priceline are non-refundable, so if you book a room for June/July of next year, you won't be able to get your money back if you change your plans. You also need to pay for the room once you are accepted.

If you're still looking to proceed, how much are you looking to spend?

I was looking for more generalized suggestions on what area to stay in. Im not going to book my room until jan or feb.
