Nikkiroberts
My boyfriend and I are going to New York from 24April for 4 nights. We prefer to stay at Chelsea, time square, Hell's Kitchen, Maddison square garden. Would be nice to stay at 4 star hotel but 3.5 is also okay as long as we could pay about $100 per night. Anyone could help me? It's going to be our first time using priceline, so excited!!! Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :) Unfortunately, this time period is in the Spring and gets considerably busier. The slowest period is January/February, but after that, March starts to get more expensive as does April into May. Unfortunately, I think for a 3.5* or higher win in Manhattan you're likely looking more at the $160-180 range and possibly higher depending on zone. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment

At current rates a 3.5* hotel in one of your acceptable zones (or likely in any zone in Manhattan for these dates) is not realistic, which is why we ask that you first look at MAPS and HOTELS.com to determine your best to determine the best deal you're able to find... you have to determine your maximum bid based upon prevailing rates for your dates, not simply on what you want to pay. If you're unable to win a hotel for $100 what would you then do for a hotel for this trip? If you're unable to increase your budget beyond $100 then you'll need to consider options of staying outside of the city and commuting in each day.
