SKCKU Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 Hi this is my first time posting on here, but my question is I am looking at staying at the JW Marriott on 03/28/2014-03/29/2014, anybody have any tips for Price.line bidder on this hotel, I know the priceline.Express Deal is $147 plus fees and taxes? Thanks!
yellowdog Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 Welcome to BetterBidding! You can't bid on or avoid a specific hotel when using PRICE.LINE You have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) you select. If you're trying to target a specific property then HOT.WIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOT.WIRE usually costs a little more than PRICE.LINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive. If you need any ID help so please list the amenities PRICELINE EXPRESS associates with the hotel you're looking at and we'll be happy to have a look at this. In what zone is the Marriott located? Please use the PRICELINE and hot.wire links on the board to begin your purchases and searches. Yellowdog.
thereuare Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 Please also read your messages, and in your reply also confirm which city/zone in Colorado you're looking at. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
SKCKU Posted February 28, 2014 Author Report Posted February 28, 2014 Hey Yellowdog, The Marriott is located in downtown Denver, if I am not mistaken it is the only 4 1/2 star according to PRICELINE in the Denver area, so I know if I am bidding that will be the only one out there. Thanks. SKCKU
thereuare Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 Given the 4.5* PRICELINE EXPRESS deal in this zone is currently showing at $142/nite, less the EXTRA 5% OFF discount link and code in my signature, brings the room rate of that one down to ~$135/nite, how high are you willing to bid before just taking the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal (assuming this would be within your budget) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know the information above and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
