Whos Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 I can't count on being able to take the T because I might not get to leave the event until after 12:30am so I need it to be a cheap cab ride or of course quick walking distance away. I'm going to end up bidding on a hotel because I want it a little cheaper than the Express Deals are after tax. Ideal price is $100 total for a 4 star hotel. I'll be checking in tomorrow 02/27 and checking out on 02/28.
AaronJB Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Please confirm which zone/s would be acceptable. TD Garden is in the Beacon Hill zone on Hot.wire and there is a 4* showing in that zone, but at $169. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Whos Posted February 27, 2014 Author Report Posted February 27, 2014 I'm not sure which PRICELINE zones are nearby. I think I'll be ok with Downtown Boston, Beacon Hill, and Boston Common Theater District since I am ok with a cheap cab ride. I prefer to bid but these are the Express Deals I'd consider if I could identify them Boston Common Theater District 4*Free Internet in public areasIndoor Swimming PoolPets AllowedRestaurantBusiness CenterFitness CenterAnd Downtown Boston Harbor Front 4*Pets AllowedRestaurantBusiness CenterAny idea what those are?
AaronJB Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 The Boston Common-Theater District listing would be a possible match for the Hyatt. The Downtown-Harbor Front would be a possible match for the Hilton Downtown or Ames. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Whos Posted February 27, 2014 Author Report Posted February 27, 2014 Thank you! I'm not thrilled enough about either of those hotels so I'm going to bid at some point tonight. I'll use the links and update everyone on how it turns out!
yellowdog Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Thank you for keeping us updated with what you decide and for using boards PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links. Good luck! Yellowdog.
Whos Posted February 27, 2014 Author Report Posted February 27, 2014 I used the PRICELINE links here and all the information on rebidding and ended up with the Hyatt Regency Boston for $80/$99.30 after taxes for one night 02/27-02/28. Thanks for having such a great site. I really pushed this one until the last minute so the rebidding info (Priceline Re-Bidding Explained) was really helpful. I ended up bidding on a few zones I definitely didn't want but they did not have 4 star hotels and I would have NEVER thought of that if it hadn't been for this forum. It might not be a cool hotel but I am satisfied with location and ratings so thanks :)
yellowdog Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Congratulations on your success! Thanks for using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. We hope you're satisfied with the outcome and will like the Hyatt. Enjoy your stay. Yellowdog.
